Not sure which division suits you?

Bikini Division
Bikini is a new Division that was added as of Jan 1 2009.  There is an Amateur and Pro level.  The qualification to earn your pro card is the same as the other divisions.  You must win a show that awards entry to one of the five National Level Competitions.  Once you have earned the right to compete at a National Level Competition you must place at that competition in order to win your Pro Card. In a Bikini Competition the judges are looking for a softer, less muscular look in their competitors.  The judges like the girls to be tone and symmetrical, but without noticeable or deep cut lines.  Posing includes a Model Round where you pose solo with a short routine showing all four sides of your physiques.  You are also judged in a comparison round where they will line all of the competitors up and compare them from the front and rear view.  Posing is relatively simple in comparison to Bodybuilding and Figure posing.  You are able to wear an “off the rack” swimsuit.

Figure Division
The Figure Division has been around for the last ten years.  It seems that in the last couple of years Figure has truly found its identity.  The judging standards are much clearer and the competitors have a firmer grasp on what will work best on stage.  There is no magic weight or body fat percentage that will guarantee you a win, each individual is different.  I can tell you that Figure has a much softer look than it did in the past.  There is finally a distinct difference between the physique of a Body Builder and a Figure Competitor. Figure does not have a model round.  The posing is limited to a group line of comparison posing.  You are required to pose in front, rear, and both side views.  Figure posing does not require you to flex, you are simply standing in the most flattering position possible.  You are judged based on symmetry, conditioning, posing, stage presence, and overall appearance.  You are required to wear a posing suit, it does not have to be jeweled but most girls do have jeweled suits.

Bodybuilding
Body Building is the most extreme of the three divisions.  Bodybuilding requires and extremely low percentage of body fat, a well developed muscular build, and a dry appearance.   The judging consists of an extensive comparison round, with multiple poses, and a solo routine round set to music.  Bodybuilding posing is very difficult and requires a lot of practice to master.  It is physically difficult because poses are held in flexed positions and comparison rounds typically take a long time. Shoes are not worn in the Body Building Division.  The men’s posing suits resemble a Speedo, and the women’s posing suits are similar to the Figure suits, only simpler, with fewer jewels.
